Nala is a personal desktop creative workspace that helps its user organise visual references and use selected references in creative conversations.

Information Nala handles

Nala stores workspaces, conversations, uploaded files, generated images, reference-library metadata and application settings on the user's Mac. When the user connects an external service, Nala may store the credentials or authorisation tokens needed for that connection in a private local file.

Pinterest integration

When the user connects Pinterest, Nala uses the authorised account to show the user's boards and saved Pins. Nala imports only the Pins the user explicitly selects. Imported images are copied to the user's local Nala library so they remain available after Pinterest is disconnected.

Nala uses a selected Pin's title, description, dimensions and the current workspace name to organise that local reference by creative purpose, composition, style, subject, seasonal relevance, visual motifs, client fit and aspect ratio. Nala does not use Pinterest content to train, fine-tune or develop an artificial-intelligence model.

Connected creative services

If the user deliberately attaches a locally stored reference to a conversation, that selected content may be processed by the AI service connected by the user, subject to that provider's terms and privacy policy. Nala does not include Pinterest credentials in conversations.

Sharing and advertising

Nala does not sell personal information, use Pinterest information for advertising, or operate a cloud database for this desktop version. Information is shared with a connected service only when needed to perform an action the user requests.

Retention and choices

Disconnecting a service removes Nala's saved authorisation for that workspace. References already imported into the local library remain until the user deletes them. The user can delete references and chats or move and delete the local Nala library.
